A Family on a Mission

Colorful baths. Brighter tomorrows.
It all started at home.
MEET THE BRADLEY'S

A military family. A whole lot of moves. And one very good idea that started in the kitchen.

The Bradley's are a veteran military family who know a thing or two about starting over.

Military and corporate life brought moves, new schools, new communities and plenty of starting from scratch. Jason served as an Infantry Officer in the U.S. Army, and while our family has always been incredibly proud of his service, Lisa wanted our kids to understand something else:

There are lots of ways to serve, contribute and make a difference.

Years ago, that belief helped inspire Lisa to co-found R. Riveter, creating flexible employment for military spouses whose careers were constantly disrupted by military moves. It was a chance for military spouses to build something of their own and do their part, too.

Turns out, the kids were watching.

There are lots of ways to serve, contribute and make a difference.
AND THEN CAME CORA

A BIG IDEA IN A SMALL KITCHEN.

Bombs Away didn't begin with a business plan. It started with our family making bath bombs at home.

Somewhere between the mixing, experimenting and mess, Cora started singing "Bombs Away!

The next week, she made her first sale to neighborhood friends. Then another.

And like any good founder experiencing rapid growth, she immediately hired more people.

Unfortunately for us, those people were her parents and brother.

Bombs Away was officially in business.

The name stuck.
MEET THE CREW

DIFFERENT ROLES. SAME BIG MISSION.

Cora

Founder. Chief Bath Bomb Officer. Head of Big Ideas.

Cora grew up watching her mom turn an idea into a business and learned an important lesson: when you have a good idea, you don't have to wait until you're a grown-up to do something with it.

So she didn't.

She handles the ideas, product inspiration and executive decision-making.

Her employees handle most of the cleanup.

Lisa

Mom. Co-Founder. Marketing Department. Employee Recruited Without an Application.

At Bombs Away, Lisa handles strategy, marketing, websites, packaging, numbers and whatever else the founder decides needs to happen that day.

She's also learning that working for your daughter comes with surprisingly little PTO.

Jason

Dad. Veteran. Chief Procurement Officer. Investor.

Jason is a West Point graduate and former U.S. Army Infantry Officer.

The employee’s asked for Dad’s credit card, and just like that, he became their Chief Procurement Officer and lead investor—a title that mostly means he buys everything while they maintain full creative control.

He now reports to much smaller commanding officers whose missions generally involve glitter, fragrances, and bath bombs.

Owen

Brother. COO in Training. Chief of Details Nobody Else Noticed.

Owen is the numbers, science and details guy of the operation.

While Cora is asking, "What if we made this?!" Owen is usually asking, "Okay, but how exactly is that going to work?"

He's naturally analytical, loves science and has an impressive ability to spot the one tiny detail everyone else missed—which makes him suspiciously well suited for operations.

His current responsibilities include quality control, process improvement, keeping the CEO's ideas somewhat grounded in reality, and reminding management when the math doesn't math.

Promotion to COO pending completion of middle school.

SMALL BOMBS. BIG MISSION.

Bombs Away started with a kid, a homemade bath bomb and two words that made everyone laugh.

But the mission is bigger.

We want military kids to grow up knowing that moving often may shape their story—but it doesn't define what's possible for them.

They can create. They can lead. They can solve problems. And they don't have to wait until they're adults to start.

We're building colorful, handmade bath products—and hopefully raising a couple of pretty great entrepreneurs along the way.

Veteran family. Military kid founded. Family operated. Mission driven.

And it all started with:

Bombs Away.
